Imagine
a full week of free-ride skiing on the best spots of the southern Alps,
with the coaching of a high-mountain guide. Your base camp : la Grave,
the Mecca of the free-ride skiing !

ITINERARY:
Saturday :
Transfer from Lyon’s railway station to la Grave at the end of the day
and meeting with your guide. Equipment renting, quick look at the
weather forecast. Dinner at a restaurant in the village, night at the
apartment.
Sunday : La Grave.
Discovering the spot, the equipment and the basic techniques. Level
evaluation. Avalanche rescue test. Lunch at the mountain restaurant,
dinner at the restaurant and night at the apartment.
Monday : Serre Chevalier.
The Olympic champion Luc Alphand’s ski resort is a huge free-ride spot.
Lunch at the mountain restaurant, dinner at the restaurant and night at
the apartment.
Tuesday: La Grave.
Back on the Vallons ! The spot offers such a huge variety of
itineraries that you’ll never be tired of skiing there ! Lunch at the
mountain restaurant, dinner at the restaurant and night at the
apartment.
Wednesday : L’Alpe d’Huez.
The « Sunny Island », as they call it, is one of the best spots of the
area – and it’s true, it’s really sunny ! Lunch at the mountain
restaurant, dinner at the restaurant and night at the apartment.
Thursday : La Grave – St Christophe en Oisans
Probably the wildest run of the week ! Lunch at the mountain
restaurant, dinner at the restaurant and night at the apartment.
Friday :
Montgenèvre-Sestrière
Riding between France and Italy, on the vast « Moon Mounts Resort ».
Lunch at the mountain restaurant, dinner at the restaurant and night at
the apartment.
Saturday : End of your stay and transfer back to Lyon’s railway station
at the end of the morning.
Price includes:
- Half board from the first day’s dinner until the last day’s breakfast
- the accommodation in 4-star apartments (twin-bed room on a share
basis)
- a 6-day-coaching by an English-speaking high-mountain guide
- a one-day ski pass for each ski resort
- the local transfers with a car or a minibus.

Equipment:
Ski equipment :
the guide provides the collective security equipment : rope,
transceiver, shovel …
You can bring your own ski equipment or rent it in the village.
Meeting :
Around 7 PM on day 1.
Return :
Around 11 AM on day 8.
Guide :
Qualified high-mountain guide.
Required Level :
Being comfortable with red and black slopes and with every kind of
snow.

Accommodation
: 7 nights in a 4-star apartment in the heart of the village of la
Grave (twin- bed rooms on a share basis, minimum 1 bathroom for 2
bedrooms), free access to a sauna. Bed linen and towels provided.
